From 13-15 November 2016, Maritz Africa will be attending Bloomberg’s ‘Africa Business Media Innovators 2016: The Power of Data’ event in Naivasha, Kenya.
The event, which this year will focus on the use of data in financial journalism, as well as in building businesses, is part of a the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa. Now in its second year, the initiative aims to improve financial journalism and build media capacity across Africa.
Michael Bloomberg says of the event, “We believe that increased access, analysis, and distribution of data will lead to stronger governments, better reporting, healthier businesses, and faster pathways to social and economic progress. To find better ways to achieve these objectives, we are bringing together a diverse community of global and African leaders who will share their thoughts on the most exciting trends in the field.”
The event will be attended by leaders in business, government, data, media, and technology: From media owners, publishers, editors, journalists, entrepreneurs, investors and cross-sector technologists, to industry CEOs and senior leaders from financial services, technology, media and telecom, foundations, and private equity.
