Jaco Maritz, publisher of How we made it in Africa, the award-winning pan-African business publication, will be speaking at the African Chemicals Imbizo in Durban, South Africa, this coming October. His presentation will provide insights for chemicals manufacturers in Africa.
The conference, taking place from 24-25 October 2018, will bring the sub-Saharan chemicals industry together to discuss the critical and collective issues it faces, gain insights from speakers and network with colleagues and stakeholders.
In 2017, the Imbizo hosted some 270 attendees, 17 esteemed speakers and 30 exhibitors from eight African countries. The 2018 conference expects to improve upon those numbers, cracking the 300 attending delegates mark, hosting 50 exhibitors, 200 buyer-supplier meetings, and 20 sub-Saharan African chemicals buyers with the aim to promote exports and African firm growth.
“I am thrilled and honoured to be invited to speak at such an important event. The African Chemicals Imbiza is filling an important niche, and bringing to light an integral part of the African business landscape,” remarked Maritz.
